MOVIE STAR status

we have a funny story to share about our friend troy who's been visiting us with his sister cheryl.  as you can see, he is a handsome young man.  goes to school in san diego and is a surfer.  and yes, his long hair has been a main attraction around here with the ladies.  he and buddy took the kids to the park the other day and buddy couldn't wait to tell us what happened.

all of the sudden a swarm of junior high girls ran up to troy,  SCREAMING.  buddy said it's like how women would scream for The Beatles.  amidst their broken english it was apparent that they thought troy was the boyfriend of some famous person.  the guys tried to explain that he wasn't who they thought he was, but they were convinced and couldn't control themselves. they seemed perplexed that he didn't speak german,  but i guess they were so star struck that they didn't care.

buddy left the scene to deal with jose and grace for a minute and when he returned there was troy--SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS.  then the swarm of girls ran back to their parents who were also at the park, to tell them about it and so they were all ooing and awwing from a distance.

when cheyl, troy and i went to berlin the other day, on the train back another swarm of girls asked him if they could take pictures with him. the girls were beside themselves.  movie star status, i tell you.
