The other day when we expected to see Hope at church, Buddy told me, "I have an idea...I think you need to invite Hope to your Bible study on the Reeperbahn this week."
"Uhh...what Bible study? I don't lead a Bible study on the Reeperbahn."
He said, "We have a very small window with Hope. We've got about 48 hours. You've got to do whatever it takes to spend time with her. I think you should invite her to a Bible study. Your Bible study."
And funny enough, clear in my mind was Tuesdays at 11am at this certain cafe on the Reeperbahn.
So on Sunday when we were having lunch with her after church, I said as if it were no big deal, "Oh ya, and by the way, I have a Bible study on Tuesday mornings at 11am at the so-and-so cafe on the Reeperbahn if you want to come."
She immediately said she'd come.
(are you kidding me?!)
(did she just say she'd come?)
I invited her friend/colleague, too, who was also having lunch with us--I'll call her Gem--and to my surprise she said, "Okay, ya, maybe I'll come too." She sounded sincere.
(did she really just say she might come?)
I was at the cafe at 11am
They BOTH came
It was supposed to be an hour long
We were there almost 2 1/2 hours
Time flew
They LOVED it
Our topic was "What is TRUTH?"
I had verses all picked out in English
and in their native language
They were like
hungry little birds
They were talking up a storm
Asking question after question
I was in heaven!!!
I was in heaven!!!
(did that really happen?!)
If Hope is still in town next week
(i'll admit, i told her i hope her 'boyfriend' gets caught
by the authorities and that she gets to spend more time here),
we're on for Bible study again
Same place, same time
Gem's in as well
(seriously? she wants to come again?)

in the past few days

***p.s. Tonite is Wednesday, brothel night. I am HOPEing I get to see Hope one last time...and for sure I plan to visit with Gem, too (who I'll write about another time--she already melts my heart!) Please pray--and thank you for all of your prayers already--they are part of the reason all this amazing stuff is happening! God is good. And I am so grateful for your partnership in the Gospel.

Oh what a blessing!! The Lord is moving in miraculous ways, that is for sure!! I am praying for Hope!! The Lord can use her for His glory, and He will! Do you know what likelihood there is in that guy getting caught?

in response to lindsay...what i know is that he's been doing this for 10 years and he's been in prison for it before, and Hope says he's very afraid of getting caught again...so i would assume that means there of course is a CHANCE of him getting caught. i don't wish bad toward him--i just want to protect Hope and i want justice served. what's he's doing is human trafficking and it's illegal.

okay. It is awful to think of many lives he has effected by his lifestyle. Yes, I know you just want to protect her. :) Hope has really been on my heart over the past few days...I will continue praying for her!
