lil miss sunshine

oh who could that be hiding behind the binoculars?
well it's none other than our very own
lil miss sunshine :)

sure is cute, ain't she?

grace is all clad in her bright n cheery raincoat

because, well, it kinda rains here a lot

often it feels like it rains a little each day

i've rarely seen it rain a hard rain all day

usually it's gray outside and

it'll drizzle every now and then

i think this is typical weather thru march or april

but oh, doesn't a cute lil girl

in a cute lil coat make all the gray go away!

here's a quick update on our grace:

since jose's in school m-f that means it's gracie and mommy time til 2pm. i think she likes it. she likes being the center of mommy's affections, i tell you. two mornings a week we have plans--a gymnastics class & a mommy n me class. the other mornings we may go to the park, run some errands, clean house or have a play date with a friend. gracie is really beginning to talk now...and she has a really adorable voice. she's kinda lil miss manners, too...if i ask her if she wants, let's say, pizza for lunch, she'll very politely shake her head and say "no, thank you." we just want to eat her up. she loves her brother somethin' fierce and they play well together. her personality is fun and spunky, and yet she can be very gentle, compassionate and loving, too. she makes us laugh and smile...and she is also teaching us how to be good parents with firm but loving boundaries. she tests us in this, you know. she loves to go to church, and she especially likes to worship. oh ya, and she's begun to pray, too--so when we pray at night before the kids go to bed she'll say "gracie pray?" and she does and it's just the sweetest thing ever (except for when jose does it :)

so that's the skinny on our girl...
