brownie bites

sorry, but we HAD to

we just HAD to make brownies
and take lots of bites while eating them

i mean, it really wasn't an option
we'll blame it on rachel--she sent us the mix
but then it's germany's fault
yes, you read that correctly
because, well, because
they don't know how to make brownies here
they are always dry and cakey
and just plain gross
so we really had no choice

i mean, especially when it's fancy mix
gluten free and all
it means it must be good for you, too
so then you really have to do it

mmmm...
just one bite is all it took
then another
and another
i mean what's the fun of making brownies as a family if you can't have a few bites of the mix?

and then to have it keep it all on the spoon and in your mouth, that's just plain boring. gotta live a little and get some on your face, your shirt, hands, hair, the whole bit (and be put in the shower afterwards).

gotta do it right if you're gonna do it

and if you're gonna do it as a family bonding activity, then it means that daddy has to sneak the bowl away from the chocolate laden youngins for a bite of his own...just one bite...

and you have to be adorned in daddy's really big t-shirts as aprons because then it's extra, extra silly and fun

i mean, lots of fun!

then with what's left of the mix, since bites have been taken in the making...you put it into a muffin pan (especially if you left your cake pans in california)
you hope that 180 celsius really = 350 fahrenheit
and you go for it for about 15 minutes.
then after the home smells all warm and chocolaty and yummy it's time for mommy to seal the deal

yep, they're definitely ready. did the fork test

too bad no one wants a bite of the brownies now...guess we may have had a bit too many bites before hand...but at least they look good and they can always be eaten tomorrow :)
