BIGGER than BIG

i purposely withheld some information from you on yesterday's post. i wanted to do a separate post on one of the most memorable parts of our weekend away at the East Sea: the view from our hotel room of the ships passing by. 

when i booked our hotel room, i really had no idea where the hotel was located.  the reservations guy asked me if we wanted a view of the harbor or no view at all, so i choose a view of the harbor. 

when we got to our room, there was nothing impressive about it. although in size it was surprisingly BIG, it was outdated and dingy and pretty much unattractive--but yes, there was a view of the harbor.  the harbor looked pretty dinky and uninteresting to me, but it was better than no view at all.

until...the first ship passed by.

when the ships would pass by, which was about once every few hours, there was really no other response but to stop whatever it is you were doing and just stand there and watch.  especially from our hotel room, it was quite a sight to behold.  from our window, it was so close it literally looked like we were at sea on a ship of our own and we watching another ship pass us by.

what was significant to me about the passing ships was their BIGness...their massiveness in size, in breadth, in height, in depth.  as they passed we would both stand there, wide eyed, truly examining the vastness of the vessel. 

what was also profound to me about their passing was the obvious impact on their observers. even on the street below our hotel room, you could see people stop in their tracks and just stand there and look. it was as if the whole world stopped talking and chose to stand in silence, at attention, almost as if standing in honor and in high regard and respect of the greater GREATNESS of the passing wonder.

for me, it was a clear picture of a theme i believe God is speaking to buddy and me right now.  the theme of His BIGness.

for those of you that have prayed about the DREAM BIG property for us, thank you. we are still in the process of waiting on Him for perfect clarity on what our next steps should be.  but whether or not it is the home for us, i do believe, even still, He is on the move. and for me, when the great ships would pass our room, it was as if He was saying this:

look at Me

as I pass by

I'm BIG

I'm BIGGER than BIG

you think you know BIG?

you ain't seen nothin yet

I am H U G E

I am MIGHTY

I am MASSIVE

My greatness and scale of BIG

 is nothing you can even comprehend

and when My GREATNESS passes by

it commands the attention of all

all will look

&

all will see

&

all will know how

great and mighty and BIG I am

I'm BIG

BIGGER than BIG

and My plans for you are

greater and BIGGER

 than you can even imagine

you got your ticket in hand?

you seated in the front row?

well get ready

because I am on the move

and when I pass by

your eyes will be opened to

My  G L O R Y

and I will not share it with another
