last weekend our friend lindsay spent the weekend with us. she is an absolute doll.  she's 19 and has been a nanny for a family here in hamburg for the past year.  she was one of the 1st people we met at our church.  she just left for home in the states a few days ago and so for her last weekend, for her 'last hurrah' we decided it'd be fun to play TOURIST.  especially with our cameras.

this is actually a war monument--this is what was left of the st. nickolai church that was bombed in WWII. it is especially amazing to see in person.
