have HOPE!

on the inside the card read:

then we wrote,

we gave out these sweet gifts of HOPE

on three different evenings during the week of easter.

the women were

very very very very very very

G R A T E F U L

100 gifts went to the women in the 4 brothels

 60 gifts went to the women that work/stand

      on the Reeperbahn

 20 gifts went to the women who sit in the windows on

      an 'exclusive street' on the Reeperbahn for men only

      (it was our 1st time on this street

        and we were well received)

 45 gifts were left over, so the night before easter our team

      went to a different red light district of the city

       (this is where buddy & i go

         for street ministry sometimes,

         so i know some of the girls...

         and they were so thankful!)

oh really? wow! thank you so much!

sure, our pleasure!

(they would first look at the card--many really checked it out--running their fingers over the flowers, reading the little 'have HOPE' tag--they truly studied it)

these cards are so pretty!

aren't they? my friend in california handmade them

really? how nice!

(one girl started to open her card, right there. she said, "i have to open it now, because i'm always so excited to see what you write on the inside." okay, that comment melted our hearts)

and the jelly beans are from america, too.  my friend sent them for you from los angeles.

los angeles? really? cool!

and the flower is a little candle
