a little slice

thought you may enjoy a little slice of our week.
last night our friend jeanette had us all over for a delicious meal. buddy was the photographer for the evening...so even though you don't see him he was there too :) here we are on our way to her apartment...we took the bus, then the subway, and then a short walk. remember, this is our friend rachel who's living with us for the month. i'm carrying flowers for jeanette--very typical over here to go and get fresh flowers and they wrap them in paper

here is our lovely hostess with the mostess. we know jeanette from church. she is in our thursday night small group and she is a doll. she's studying to become a doctor and left today for brazil to do a 3 month internship there. she wanted to have us over before she left.


jeanette prepared a feast for us, and the kids were not shy with the food. one of the main dishes was homemade pizza--unlike any i've ever had and it was heavenly. it had spicy ground beef, hot peppers, cheese...it was so good. the kids loved it as well. good thing she also invited another family to join us (they came after we took the picture) because there was just so...much...food. thanks jeanette for your love and hospitality...and to all of you...hope you enjoyed your little slice of our night as much as we enjoyed our pizza :)
