the alster is the lake that's about a 5 minute walk from our place. since rachel's here visiting, and also because it was a beautiful day, we decided to play tourist and go for a ride on one of the alster boats. the outer lake is located around the city neighborhoods like ours, and the smaller, inner lake is right in the center of the city, as you shall see at the end of our tour. there are lots of smaller canals, waterways, and bridges, too. it is very pretty. are ya ready? here we go!
