Pray for Mr. Intensity
I first met Mr. Intensity a couple of months ago in a bar in the Red Light District where I have a Men's Bible Study each Wednesday morning. We have met 3 different times in the bar and we have had intense (hence the name) political/spiritual/history related conversations each time. He truly dislikes America and hates Religion. He comes from a country where he has seen first hand in his own family death in the name of "Religion" and he wants nothing to do with it. I understand, Religion is not attractive to me either. Jesus is. If you have never read what Jesus says in the Bible to the Religious leaders of his time, you may be shocked because he goes after some of them very hard. God looks at our hearts and is not fooled by our outside appearances.
Just like Mr. Big, I want Mr. Intensity to come to know Jesus, not Religion.

You are so right about the difference b/n religion and knowing Jesus. Being a preacher, it does make me nervous when I read the Gospels and see what Jesus had to say to the preachers of his day. God isn't interested in maintaining systems; he wants the hearts of men. I hope/pray Mr. Intensity can see that. Good post.
