On Wednesdays when we go into the brothels, Buddy joins us in PRAYER. He stays at home with the kids while I go and usually has already prayed that morning or during the day for our night ahead. Often he has an encouraging word to share with us--sometimes a scripture, sometimes just a word...but last night it was this, and I want to share it with you. By the way, AMAZING stuff is going on right now in the brothels...I just haven't had time to write about it.
There is something
more powerful than the control of a pimp.
There is something
that can break the chains that consume these women.
There is something
that can heal, restore and renew these women.
It can bring life.
It can bring joy.
It can bring hope.
It can transform.
It can renew.
It can restore.
It can heal a wounded heart.
It can bring life to a dead body and soul.
It can.
You have received it, now give it.
Give it with your heart, full of love.
Eyes of compassion.
With a tenderness and with a great love.
These girls are longing for what they do not know and you have the privilege to speak it to them.
It's the gospel. It is what Jesus did on the cross. No greater love than blood shed for each of us. The ultimate sacrifice and for us...why?
Speak it with love.
Speak it wtih compassion.
Go forth!

LOVE it!! I continue to keep your schedule and time zone in my phone and pray strength over you...strength to keep loving and desiring to love up on these women...to wait upon the Lord and have that strength renewed each day, to not grow weary in doing good! Great words from Buddy...y'all continue to simply amaze me! And I know you well enough through your blog that you would comment to that, "Don't be amazed by us, be amazed by God!"...and I am, through what He is doing in Hamburg :))
