WATERMELON
that was rolled into the house
and then into the kitchen
by these two tiny hands
because her little arms
couldn't carry the thing

that jose loves to eat
by the mouthful...
and i prefer him wearing his
bathing suit
when he does so because
yes, he's that messy when he eats it
WATERMELON
is just what little ones need
to be refreshed and refueled
on a hot summer's day
