when we got really messy

 and made this?

well this year daddy had a new idea!

introducing Der Lebkuchenmann!
that's right, The Gingerbread Man!

in the midst of the hustle n' bustle

of getting ready for christmas,

let's see how perceptive you still are...

it is lovely here this time of year...

eye wonder what happened here?

hmmm...

okay, that's the end of your testing.

you did great!

now onto the beginning of the end:

 although this picture may look

somewhat innocent,

 they began fighting. 

they were not treating

 the little man gingerly at all. 

 so i figured we needed to

divide him up somehow.

so, ya, i had to let them go for it. 

you knew it would come to this.

but after the end of the end,

we still needed to have more some fun,

(because all of what you just witnessed

took a total of maybe, um, 4 minutes)

so we gave him reconstructive surgery

of a special sort. 

 we applied more frosting surgical glue

and gave him new eyes. 

 however, jose insisted he be given a third eye.

see, it was this cute guy's fault. 

but come on,

 the g-man still looked happy, didn't he?

but then it got worse again. 

his eyes were taken, eaten,

you know, the whole bit.

by now his hands and feet

had been torn off,

and partly gobbled. 

then he kept getting slathered with more

tasty surgical glue.

poor guy.   

but in picture blogs we can end on a happy note. 

you see, i would never let my children

get all sticky and messy

and eat an adorable and happy

Lebkuchenmann!

i just wouldn't.
