E X P A N S I O N

i've been meaning to share with you how the work of our brothel team has EXPANDED in the past year. thanks be to God, it has more than doubled. 

i began last september, and there were 4 women on the team; now there are 8 of us, with others regularly joining us in prayer and in service.  last september, there were 4 brothels total that we went into each week--now we have an additional 3 gentlemen's clubs (if that isn't a euphemism, i don't know what is!), and our team also visits with some of the men (yes, men) and women who work on the streets on our way to and from the brothels.  it is a lot of people to visit in one night! 

in addition, the women that stand/work directly on the reeperbahn (which is in an different area than where the brothels are located on the reeperbahn) want us to come and visit them more regularly (as, up to now, we have only gone to visit them when we pass out the special gifts throughout the year).  however, we literally do not have the time to visit all of the women right now--as much as our hearts would love to do so.  we are praying for more women to join our team--Lord willing, of course, as there is a time and season to everything.

up until last year our team had only given out special gifts for christmas and easter.  this year we added Valentine's Day and then, celebrating no holiday, gave out the YOU ARE GOLD gifts in june. last year for the christmas gifts, we gave out 150.  this year, we will be giving out 300. 

E X P A N S I O N!  

the size of our brothel team and the scope of our work is the largest it has ever been in its fourteen years of existence.  WHY, now, has it grown? only the Lord knows the full answer to that question, but i can't help but believe that it is partly due to His faithfulness in answering the prayers of many.  if you are one who has been moved to pray for these dear women and this ministry, thank you--and i hope this post has been an encouragement to you.  continue to pray, if you so desire, for our team to EXPAND so we can reach even more of the women in this city that are hidden away in dark places. 

Jesus said,

“The harvest is plentiful,

but the workers are few.

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,

to send out workers

into his harvest field."
