we thought you may be interested in seeing the church we go to. i'm a visual sort of person and
thus i always like to see pictures. this is it. we went to different churches for months when we first moved here. we prayed a lot about it. and about a year ago to date,
we found it.
we just knew--
it was the right church for our family.
this is the view from the upstairs
the church is an international church
and thus everyone here speaks english.
there are people from all over...
americans, germans, africans, koreans, etc.
we never expected to be living in germany and to go to an english speaking church, but you know what, it's nice...and we really believe this is where we are supposed to be.
what i like about our church is that the people are friendly, the preaching is biblically solid and the worship is great as well. and in the short time we've been here, we have made so many deep friendships with a lot of quality people. we feel incredibly blessed to have found such a wonderful church.
here's our pastor preaching
he and his sweet wife are from south africa
this is christian, the assistant pastor
he's a native hamburger
we are friends with him, his wife and 4 children
their kids are around the same ages as j & g
this is tasi, christian's wife. she's originally from samoa and i think she's been here for about 10 years now. she is so much fun. and she's a great mom.
while we're up in service
the kids have fun in sunday school.
they sing songs, do crafts, have a snack.
you know, sunday school type of stuff.
and here they are, writing out invitations to our church.
they learned a few sundays ago that we're supposed to share Jesus with our friends. and church is a great place to learn more about Him.
so...come and join us any time!
YOU are invited.

Omgosh, love, love, love! I am soo visual, too! I like to think about where you might be when you are ministering, what it looks like when you walk your j and g to and from school, etc, etc, so this was soo great to see where you worship...sounds heavenly! The best part I think must be that in such a short time you've already gone so deep in relationships there, that's soo great! Oh, looove the picture of j and g writing invitations for others to join them at church!!
PS...I'm still getting used to the term "hamburger", lol! I kept rereading the sentence about Christian being a native hamburger and kept thinking that maybe you meant that he likes to eat a hamburger that is typical for that region, lol!! Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm just not the smartest cookie in the jar, but I just get such a kick out of that term, heehee!
I miss IBC!!! It was so nice to see this post, thank you guys!
Cant wait to go with you guys. Looks like a wonderful place.
So fun to to be able to visualize where you worship. Love the picture of smarty pants Jose and Grace with their glasses on working hard for Him. So cute!
I love seeing churches around the world! It's beautiful and wonderful to think about others praising Him everyday in different places. Thanks for sharing!
