Oh yes, folks...it's that time of year...for a little trip to the sunshiny (I mean, RAINY?), golden state of California. Main reason? To visit our FAMILY. When the kids see their grandparents and cousins and aunties and uncles they are going to go biserk! :). We are all really, really excited.
(by the way, here are some pics to show you that yes, it's still very cold and snowy here...and these may be the last pics you see of us til march, so hope they make you smile all month...)
We will be in S.Cal for about 2 weeks...part of that spending time in Palm Springs. So our time in town will be short but sweet...and we are so looking forward to spending some quality time with our families who we love so much. If we learned one thing from our trip last summer, we learned this: SLOW DOWN. We tried to see everyone we knew and we were busy it seemed like 24/7...Buddy and I barely saw each other the entire time and it was just a lil nuts. So this time we will stay close to home.
However, we have been given the opportunity to share about our life here in Hamburg at our old church...this coming Sunday, February 14th. Yep, on Valentine's Day. So if you'd love to see your favorite little Hamburg Sweethearts, Jose & Grace! and get some big hugs from them and listen to Buddy and I share "12 Reasons to Praise God" for what He's done during our 1st year in Hamburg, we would be honored! Church services are at 9:30am and 11:15am. If you are interested, email us at buddyandkrista@yahoo.com and we'll send you the church info.
So...I expect our blog may be a bit quiet til the end of February...but come March we will be back for more fun! THANK YOU, by the way, that you even read our blog--you have no idea how honored we are. It is truly a privilege to share our journey with you.
The taxi is coming to pick us up tomorrow morning at 4:45am...better get to bed...yikes! But I couldn't leave without saying Goodbye...and, we all WERE in bed before 8:30pm but now that the kids are asleep neither of us could sleep...but now, alas, off to bed...

Love that we are living out such snowy, bundled up, boot wearing parallel lives on opposite sides of the world. I wish I was California just to see you though.
