the WONDER

oh, the wonder of little children discovering God's creation

location:
at the park across the street from our apt

tiny creature:
the ladybug
(auf deutsch: die Marienkafer)

Marien = Maria
(as in the mother of Jesus)

kafer = beetle

and no, it is not directly translated as
the mother of Jesus bugmaybe for our blog, it should be...i mean, why not?
this is certainly one holy beetle in my opinion

okay, now you have to check out the kids' faces above
grace, you can tell, is totally into this
really, any creature with legs--furry or not--grace is into
she kept saying "mama! ladybug!"

now you may remember from a previous post
that jose is not as into creatures
his face is saying
"i don't know what I think about this ladybug."

so of course grace kept touching it and wanting to hold it
(those are her fingers in the first picture)

little ladybug crawled on jose's twig and still he was a bit unsure of the whole ordeal...but he was taking it all in...learning...discovering. isn't that how it can be with all of us...something different to some of us is easy, a joy...and to others something new can make us a little nervous. in both, we discover the wonder of something new.

now wonder of wonders, after the park and ladybug experience, we went to another park, and then to visit the duckies. an hour later we arrived home, and as I went to grab my keys (that were in the pocket of my jacket that was slung over the stroller)...look who was on my jacket, saying HI. what's especially wonderous is that when we were playing with the ladybug, i wasn't wearing my jacket, and the stroller wasn't near us at all.

guess God's creation wonders a bit about us, too.
