i know i already posted about the changing colors of fall...
but i can't help myself on this one
our city of green has turned vibrant hues of yellow
i have never seen anything like it
and i really can't stop from staring & gawking
arches of yellow
paths of yellow
forests of yellow
streets of yellow
below is one of our local parks for the kids
it is usually a canopy of lush green
it is now a sea of yellow

this attack of yellow affronts me
wherever i look
wherever i am
it has become my friend
amidst the cold wind in the air
beckoning the leaves to fall to the ground
it's time, they say,
to say goodbye
even within the comforts of our home
i cannot escape this golden hue
it shouts out from the other side of our window
look at me!
i am only here for a very short time
but i am worth your every glance
