Guess Who Turned 5?

yep, you guessed it, me!
the lil prince
my day started with a presesnt from my mimi & papa
my very own city

our special outing for my birthday

was going for a boat ride in the harbor

on the boat, my daddy was throwing

grace & i up in the air

whoa, dad, this is cool!

i'm the king of the world!

get it, titanic? ha ha

this is the best birthday ever!
while on the boat sister & i got to have special treats:
pretzels, a snickers bar and then a twix, too!
mmmm, good!

at the end of the boat ride not many people were on it
so sister & i took advantage and
ran around the top deck dancing
i like to do that sort of thing on my bday!


then we went out for a special bday lunch
we went to a turkish kebab & chinese place to eat
sounds funny--but it was good!
mommy had chinese, daddy kebab,
and gracie & i got to share in all the goodness

now this was really neat...
i got to have my first german beer
5 is the legal drinking age here in germany
not really, but thought that sounded cool
i got to have a special kids' drink that looks like beer
(mom and dad said it tastes gross)
the germans say it's "healthy" for kids--with vitamins n stuff
all i know is that i felt like such a big boy with my own special drink

this is me telling my cousins in los angeles & copenhagen
"guess what guys? i'm FIVE!"

okay, my bday was quite a long day
after naps, we went to the park where we go each day
they had a party for me there
here i am blowing out my bday candle

mommy brought pringles, capri sun (american treats!)
and of course ice cream cones for everybody
ice cream is my favorite, you know
if my grandpa were here he would have given me
an extra big, special bday cone, huh papa?

this is me and some of my friends
we had a lot of fun at my party

this is one of the moms giving me a gift

by the time we came home, it was almost time for bed

i was pooped!

but daddy had one more present for me

my very own hamburg cap
