early christmas gift !

daddy walked in the doors this morning after his 8:00am appointment with the german government. he was singing. no, really, he was.

he was singing a new tune that he made up
goes like this:
"zwei jahre! zwei jahre!"

then the kids joined in on the fun

and they started dancing and marching

around the house.

it was quite a merry scene.

if you didn't catch that
it means
two years!
we were given a 2 year extension on our german visas
this is 2 good 2 be 2rue!

then we tried to get the kids to make a 2 sign at the camera for some fun celebratory pics.

easier said than done, but who really cares?



i mean, these guys are so cute even trying!

and as we were looking at the stamped visas,
and admiring the date...
guess what we realized?
today it's been 4 years to the date
that god called us to hamburg
december 9, 2005: the call
december 9, 2009: the 2 year visa extension
isn't that pretty cool and also kinda amazing?!

it takes 2 to make a thing go right?
2 is not a lonely number?
on the 2nd day of christmas my true love gave to me?
