the Cox Bros

andrew & ryan cox just spent the weekend with us. we've known them since they were about 12 & 14...now they are 22 & 24. they just gradated from film school and are doing the "2 1/2 months backpacking through europe thing."

buddy played tour guide and had a ball with them. he took them to all the cool spots that you just have to see while in hamburg.

and of course he had to have them eat all of his favorite local treats...here the guys are eating at buddy's favorite currywurst + fries place on the reeperbahn. needless to say, they liked their various tastings of hamburg. i don't think they went hungry for a second.

as for the kids, they LOVED them. jose was wanting to wrestle with them 24/7 and they were so sweet with him. jose felt very loved by them. gracie kept wanting to hold their hands. she's a girl, you know, and girls like doing that sort of thing. she'd be walking by one of them and would, all by herself, just go up and grab one of their hands. precious.

andrew & ryan took some great pics of the kids. not only are they both passionate about film writing, directing and producing, but they also have their own band and are great at photography. quite the talented duo, i tell ya.



did i mention they are intelligent, funny and great conversationalists, too? we enjoyed their company very much.

now they are off to berlin. the kids already asked "where friends?" which means "where are our friends?" cute. but rachel is still here, so we aren't too lonely yet. oh ya, btw, that means there were 7 of us in our tiny apartment this weekend. 2 bedroom + 1 small bathroom. yep. it was cozy. but we loved every minute of it.
