Desperate

(Buddy) This one word conveys perfectly what occupies my thoughts, passions and actions here in Hamburg. The word hit me today and I felt compelled to share it with you. As always, your interest in what is going on with us over here is humbling and is a continual source of encouragement for us.

• I am desperate to see change in Hamburg
• I am desperate to see people's lives which have been destroyed--renewed and restored by Jesus
• I am desperate to see people that know who Jesus is, come to truly know Him
• I am desperate to do what God calls us to do here in Hamburg individually and as a family
• I am desperate for people to hear the gospel clearly and directly: That Jesus loved sinners like us so much that He died for us, so that we can have eternal life. We just need to accept Him and believe in Him
• I am desperate to see this city awaken for Jesus
• I am desperate to see Christians built up and encouraged to be disciples of Jesus
• I am desperate to be a Godly husband and father
• I am desperate to preach and proclaim God's Word with clarity, compassion and boldness
• I am desperate to be pure in my thoughts
• I am desperate to be Holy in my actions
• I am desperate to focus on the things that really matter
• I am desperate to see Christians united in Hamburg
• I am desperate to be controlled and led by the Holy Spirit
• I am desperate to understand what it means to truly realize God's love for each of us
• I am desperate to trust when many of my thoughts say don't
• I am desperate to obey when my flesh tells me otherwise
• I am desperate to see my wife and kids in love with and on fire for Jesus
• I want to be a desperate God pleaser and not a man pleaser
  
  Oh Lord, please make me a desperate and dependent man for You as there is no place I would rather be. - Buddy
