happy easter to our family & friends!
as we celebrate our first easter here,
we are having fun but
we of course are thinking of all of you
as we write this it's 6:30am for some of youyou are fast asleep and still have
easter baskets & church ahead of you
we hope you all have a special morning
part of our special day was going for a walk along the alster
the alster is the lake in the center of hamburg
it is very pretty and there is a path all around it
with trees, flowers, ducks, swans &
lots of people walking, jogging
or sitting enjoying the view
we were enjoying the warm sunshine
playing on the grass,
kicking the ball with daddy &
picking some flowers for mommy
being together as a familyhas been one of the greatest gifts
of moving to hamburg
if you really want to be a local,
you can't walk around the alster
without getting an ice cream cone
and since it's easter and all,
it was the perfect day to have an ice cream celebration
please know that we love all of you very much
with warm, happy easter wishes & love,

I love these photos. I especially like the first one...with the path in front of you. There is a huge metaphor popping out of that picture about your life and journey, waiting for someone to seize it and write it. I can't do it because my German isn't good enough.
